Thaipusam 2011 Singapore

Thaipusam is a Hindu (more precisely) Tamil festival which is celebrated in Tamilnadu, Singapore and all over the world.

The festival falls on January 20th this year in which devotees visit Tamil god Lord Murugan’s temple for blessings.

In Singapore, chariot bearers are for the first time asked to have an adult representative on famous Murugan temples.

Traffic arrangements were also outlined by the Singapore government to avoid problems on the foot Sri Sinivasa Perumal Temple at Serangoon Road to Sri Thandayuthapani Temple at Tank Road.
